Limited edition Pac-Man Moleskines commemorating Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary are now available via moleskineasia.com and Amazon (pre-order only). I very much like this news and will be feverishly anticipating this brilliant amber bundle.
From the website:
Thirty years ago, Japanese gaming house Namco® created Pac-Man, the hungriest video-game hero of all time. Not just an international smash hit, but a pop-culture icon of the Eighties. Moleskine celebrates its anniversary with a limited edition series featuring cover art and mini-stickers.The five-piece collection includes pocket and large hard cover notebooks, both plain and ruled, and a colorful set of 4 large Volant soft cover notebooks in celebrative packaging.
Moleskine Kindle Notebook with Reporter Style Notebook, available on Amazon for $39.99
This is not a Moleskine-inspired cover like the DODOcase — this is a Moleskine notebook that covers a Kindle. It’s authentic, practical, and above all, perfect for lefties. I can’t wait for this to come out for the iPad.
Moleskine’s “The Hand of the Designer”
The Italian National Trust and Moleskine present a new special project, “The Hand of the Designer”. The book is bound in the classical Moleskine Folio book layout, A4, but with white cover. The publication will come together with a 120-page Moleskine blank drawing sketch-book, for notes and free hand sketching.
“The Hand of the Designer” displays original sketches, given to the Italian National Trust, by 150 international designers, among them Bouroullec Brothers, Michael Graves, Hella Jongerius e Karim Rashid.
The project is an intimate look into the creative process of the designer, and a celebration of the everlasting power of free hand sketching even in the AutoCAD® era. Quick sketches, graphic signs, paper collages, tools to express an idea: the freedom given to designers in choosing the materials to send allows an eclectic documentation.
Available 4/10/10 for $70. DO WANT.
This brilliant package arrived for me this week from the lovely people at Chronicle Books USA.
They stock the whole range of Moleskine books - so it’s a good place to look if you’re in the US. There’s a couple of bits from the new Moleskine range in here so I’ll let you know more about them when I get the time. The “Colour A Month” diary box set looks awesome!
I’ll also be giving some of this stuff away to you guys in the New Year!
! I see a Moleskine Color-a-Month daily planner! /drool

The first page of any new moleskine is so intimidating. Somehow it always ends up becoming the skeleton of a (not really used) table of contents. Or an icebreaker. A “Hi.” in the middle of the page, and business begins shortly thereafter.
